Ingredients

1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece ginger, minced

1 red bell pepper, julienned

1 yellow bell pepper, julienned

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup snap peas

3 green onions, chopped

2 cups cooked jasmine or brown rice

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well until the beef is evenly coated. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes while you prepare the veggies.

Prep the Pan: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Stir-Fry the Veggies: Add the bell peppers, broccoli florets, and snap peas to the pan. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Everything: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the veggies. Toss everything together for an additional 2 minutes to heat through and combine flavors.

Serve: Divide the cooked rice into bowls, then top with the beef and veggie stir-fry. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Enjoy: Serve hot and enjoy your colorful and nutritious stir-fry bowls!
