Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus more for coating)

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

1 large egg

1/4 cup whole milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini donut hole pan with non-stick spray or brush with melted butter.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat the egg. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until smooth and well blended.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredient mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently with a spatula until just combined; be careful not to overmix.

Fill Donut Pan: Using a pipette or spoon, carefully fill each cavity of the mini donut hole pan about 2/3 full with batter.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool: Allow the donut holes to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool slightly.

Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Coating: While the donut holes are cooling, combine the 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl.

Coat the Donut Holes: Once the donut holes are slightly warm but not hot, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve the donut holes warm for the best taste!
