Ingredients

For the Dough:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed (110°F)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Blueberry Filling:

1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries (if using frozen, thaw and drain)

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

    - In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well.

      - In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, and eggs until blended. Gradually stir this mixture into the dry ingredients.

        - Add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.

          - Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

            Let it Rise:

              - Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.

                Prepare the Filling:

                  - In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Cook, stirring gently until blueberries start to burst and mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.

                    Roll out the Dough:

                      - Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it into a rectangle about 12x18 inches.

                        Fill the Rolls:

                          - Spread the cooled blueberry filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Starting from one of the long sides, roll the dough tightly into a log.

                            Cut and Arrange:

                              - Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place them cut-side up in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Cover the pan again with a cloth and let the rolls rise until they are puffy, about 30-45 minutes.

                                Bake the Rolls:

                                  - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake them for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked.

                                    Make the Glaze:

                                      - While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze by whisking together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

                                        Serve:

                                          - Allow the sweet rolls to cool for about 10-15 minutes after baking. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm rolls before serving. Enjoy the delightful combination of sweet blueberry filling and creamy glaze!
