Ingredients

1 cup graham cracker crumbs

1 cup rolled oats

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon sea salt

1 cup crispy rice cereal

Instructions

Prepare the Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, rolled oats, cocoa powder, melted butter, and sea salt. Stir until well mixed to form a crumbly mixture.

Bake the Base: Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan to create an even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until set. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.

Prepare the Chocolate Layer: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract. Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the cooled graham cracker base, spreading it gently with a spatula.

Add the Caramel: Drizzle the caramel sauce over the chocolate layer. Use a knife or a toothpick to gently swirl the caramel into the chocolate, creating a marbled effect.

Crispy Rice Topping: In a medium bowl, combine the crispy rice cereal and remaining melted butter, stirring until the cereal is coated. Spread the rice mixture over the caramel chocolate layer, pressing lightly to adhere it.

Chill and Set: Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set completely. This will allow the layers to firm up beautifully.

Cut and Serve: Once set, remove the bars from the pan by lifting the parchment paper. Place on a cutting board and cut into squares or bars.

Final Touch: Drizzle with extra caramel sauce if desired, and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt for an extra flavor boost.
