Ingredients

For the Chili:

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Sliders:

12 slider buns

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 jalapeño, sliced (optional for extra heat)

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Sriracha or hot sauce (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Cook the Chili:

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent (about 3-4 minutes).

      Brown the Meat:

Add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, for about 5-7 minutes.

          Add Remaining Ingredients:

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and black beans. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

              Prepare the Sliders:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.

                  Build the Sliders:

Spoon a generous amount of chili onto each bun, followed by a handful of shredded cheddar cheese. If desired, add a few slices of jalapeño for extra spice. Place the top halves of the buns over the filled bottom halves.

                      Bake the Sliders:

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the foil for the last 5 minutes to crisp up the tops.

                          Serve:

Once baked, sprinkle fresh cilantro over the sliders. Serve hot with Sriracha or your favorite hot sauce on the side.

                              Prep Time, Total Time, Servings:
