8 oz (225 g) noodles of your choice (spaghetti, udon, or rice noodles)

4 tbsp unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

2-3 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)

1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

2 green onions, sliced

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions
 

Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water if needed.

    Prepare the Chili Garlic Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant but not browned.

      Add Heat: Stir in the red pepper flakes, allowing them to infuse in the butter for about 30 seconds. This will intensify the flavor.

        Mix Sauces: Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and honey to the skillet. Stir to combine, allowing the mixture to simmer for 1-2 minutes to meld the flavors.

          Combine Noodles: Toss in the cooked noodles, ensuring they are well coated with the chili garlic butter sauce. If the noodles seem dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
