Choco-Banana Bliss Bars

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup almond flour

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/3 cup honey or maple syrup

1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

    Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, honey (or maple syrup), almond butter, and vanilla extract until well blended.

      Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, almond flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

        Mix Together: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until everything is combined. Then fold in the dark chocolate chips and chopped nuts if using.

          Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
