Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Roll Out Dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll it on a lightly floured surface. Do not separate the triangles; instead, press the seams together to create a single rectangle.

Add Flavor: Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough, ensuring every part is covered. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the buttered dough.

Cut the Dough: Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into long strips about 1 inch wide.

Twist: Take each strip and hold both ends, twisting them to create a spiral effect. Carefully place each twisted strip on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.

Egg Wash: Brush the beaten egg over each twist to give them a golden finish when baked.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the twists from the oven and allow them to cool slightly. For an optional treat, dust them with powdered sugar before serving.

Enjoy!: Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Cinnamon Crescent Twists with coffee or tea!
