12 oz dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher)

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 tsp peppermint extract

1 cup mini chocolate chips

1/2 cup crushed peppermint candy canes

Pinch of sea salt

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it covers the entire surface for easy removal later.

    Melt the Dark Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the dark chocolate. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.

      Spread the Dark Chocolate: Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula to create a layer about 1/4 inch thick. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the next layer.

        Melt the White Chocolate: In another microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips. Heat them the same way as the dark chocolate, in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.

          Add Peppermint Extract: Stir the peppermint extract into the melted white chocolate. This will give the bark a refreshing minty flavor.

            Pour the White Chocolate: Remove the baking sheet from the refrigerator and pour the white chocolate over the set dark chocolate layer. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.

              Add Toppings: While the white chocolate is still melted, sprinkle the mini chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candy canes over the top. Ensure they are evenly distributed for flavor in every bite.

                Sprinkle with Sea Salt: Add a pinch of sea salt over the top to enhance the flavors.

                  Set the Bark: Return the baking sheet to the refrigerator and let it set for about 1-2 hours, or until fully hardened.
