Ingredients

1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed (reserve 1 cup for topping)

1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, melted

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

1/2 cup white chocolate chips (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

Prep Your Pan: Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease the parchment with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Make the Base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are well-coated and have a wet sand-like consistency. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form an even layer. Set aside.

Prepare the Fudge Mixture: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, semi-sweet chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir constantly until the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is smooth and shiny.

Assemble the Squares: Pour the chocolate fudge mixture over the Oreo base, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Gently tap the pan to settle the layers.

Add the Topping: Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos evenly over the top of the fudge layer, gently pressing them in with the back of a spoon.

Chill: Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 2 to 3 hours, or until the fudge is firm.

Optional Drizzle: If using, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over the chilled fudge for a beautiful finishing touch.

Cut and Serve: Once set, use the parchment overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Place it on a cutting board and cut into squares. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
