Ingredients

8 oz. chow mein noodles

1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 cup bell peppers, sliced (mixed colors)

1 cup carrots, julienned

1 cup broccoli florets

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

4 green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of boiling water, cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

Marinate the Chicken: In a medium bowl, combine the sliced chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.

Sauté the Vegetables: Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.

Cook the Chicken: Push the vegetables to one side of the wok. Add the marinated chicken to the center and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Fully incorporate the vegetables back into the mix.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked chow mein noodles to the wok, along with sesame oil and chopped green onions. Toss everything together for about 2-3 minutes, allowing all the flavors to meld and the noodles to warm up.

Serve: Transfer the chow mein to a serving platter or individual bowls. Garnish with sesame seeds and additional green onions if desired.

Enjoy: Serve hot and relish your homemade, delicious Chicken Chow Mein!
