Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried dill)

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Lemon slices, for garnish

Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, pepper, chopped dill, and lemon zest until well combined.

Season the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Brush the marinade generously over each fillet, ensuring they are well-coated.

Arrange Lemon Slices: Lay a few slices of lemon on top of each salmon fillet. This will enhance the flavor and add a beautiful presentation.

Bake the Salmon: Put the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Serve: Remove from the oven and let the salmon rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh dill sprigs if desired. Serve with your favorite sides like roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
