Ingredients

12 small slider buns

6 large eggs

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled (or vegetarian sausage)

1/2 cup milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon butter

Fresh chives for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the Egg Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs and add the milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Whisk together until well combined.

Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the crumbled sausage and cook until heated through and slightly crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked sausage to the egg mixture, then add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix well.

Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the egg-sausage-cheese mixture evenly over the buns, and then place the top halves back on top of the filling.

Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the egg is set.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and garnish with fresh chives if desired. Cut into individual sliders and serve warm.
