Ingredients

1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/2 cup diced green bell pepper

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage, crumbled (optional)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangular shape, about 12x16 inches.

Layer the Fillings: In the center of the dough, evenly spread the shredded mozzarella cheese. Add the pepperoni slices, diced green bell pepper, black olives, and crumbled Italian sausage (if using). Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the fillings for added flavor.

Roll the Dough: Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough over the fillings to create a log shape. Make sure to roll it tightly. Pinch the ends to seal and tuck them under slightly to prevent the filling from escaping.

Prepare for Baking: Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top with the beaten egg and drizzle with olive oil.

Cut Slits (Optional): With a sharp knife, make a few diagonal slits on the top of the stromboli to allow steam to escape and create an appealing design.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the dough is cooked through.

Cool and Serve: Let the stromboli cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
