Making frozen treats at home offers several advantages over store-bought options. One of the primary benefits is the ability to control the ingredients, ensuring that your snacks are healthier and free from unnecessary additives. Store-bought popsicles and frozen desserts often contain high levels of added sugars, artificial flavors, and preservatives. Ingredients

2 cups plain Greek yogurt

1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and finely diced

1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

A pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Popsicle molds and sticks

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the diced apple and chopped cranberries. If using fresh cranberries, make sure to chop them coarsely.

Mix the Yogurt Base: In another bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a pinch of cinnamon until smooth and well combined.

Combine: Gently fold the apple and cranberry mixture into the yogurt mixture, ensuring that the fruit is evenly distributed throughout.

Fill Molds: Pour the yogurt-fruit mixture into popsicle molds. Tap the molds lightly on the counter to remove any air bubbles and ensure the mixture settles evenly. Leave a small gap at the top to allow for expansion during freezing.

Insert Sticks: Place the popsicle sticks into the molds, ensuring they stand upright.

Freeze: Transfer the molds to the freezer and freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until the pops are completely solid.

Unmold and Serve: To remove the pops, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, or gently twist them until the pops slide out. Enjoy these refreshing treats right away or store any extras in a sealed container in the freezer.
