1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)

4 cups fresh spinach

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 slices crusty bread (like sourdough or ciabatta)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Prepare the Chickpeas: In a medium bowl, lightly mash the chickpeas with a fork, leaving some whole for texture. Season with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Set aside.

    Sauté the Spinach: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
