Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Steak: Start by trimming any excess fat from the sirloin steak and cutting it into 1-inch cubes. Pat the cubes dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear. Season generously with salt and pepper.

Sear the Steak: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking. Add the steak bites in a single layer (work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding) and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they develop a nice brown crust. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and transfer them to a plate.

Make the Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter. Add the minced garlic, fresh rosemary, and thyme to the melted butter. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not burnt.

Combine and Toss: Return the seared steak bites to the skillet, tossing gently in the garlic butter to ensure each piece is coated. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to reheat the steak and infuse it with the garlic butter flavors.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve the garlic butter steak bites hot, either on their own or with toothpicks as an appetizer.
