Ingredients

4 swordfish steaks (about 6 ounces each)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)

Zest of 1 lemon

1/4 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon slices (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Swordfish:

In a medium bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, oregano, sea salt, and black pepper. Whisk the mixture until well blended.

      Prepare the Steaks:

Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap or seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, ideally up to 2 hours.

          Preheat the Grill/Pan:

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F) or if using a stovetop, heat a large non-stick skillet with a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.

              Grill the Swordfish:

Remove the swordfish from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and easily flake with a fork. If using a skillet, cook for a similar time, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

                  Check for Doneness:

The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). Once done, remove the steaks from the grill or pan and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

                      Serve:

Garnish the swordfish steaks with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices on the side for an extra zing.
