Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

Olive oil spray or 1/4 cup olive oil for frying

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

      Prepare the Green Beans:

Rinse the green beans under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Trim off the ends if you haven’t done so already.

          Set Up the Breading Station:

In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station:

              - Bowl 1: Place the flour mixed with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

                - Bowl 2: Beat the eggs and add a splash of water for a smoother texture.

                  - Bowl 3: Combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt.

                    Coat the Green Beans:

Dip each green bean first in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then, dip it in the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off. Finally, roll the green bean in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure an even coating.

                        Arrange and Spray:

Place the coated green beans on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. If desired, lightly spray the green beans with olive oil to get them extra crispy.

                            Bake to Perfection:

Bake the green bean fries in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Halfway through, flip them gently for even cooking.

                                Serve:

Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a minute. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara, ranch, or garlic aioli for extra flavor.
