Ingredients

1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare Brussels Sprouts: In a large bowl, combine the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the sprouts are well coated.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a large baking sheet to ensure even roasting. Make sure the cut sides are facing down for optimal caramelization.

Roasting: Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and golden brown.

Add Parmesan: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the Brussels sprouts. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and slightly crispy.

Finish with Balsamic (Optional): If desired, drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the roasted Brussels sprouts for a touch of acidity.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley, and serve warm as a delicious side dish.
