Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, olive oil, honey, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Reserve about 1/3 cup of the marinade for basting later. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.

Prepare the Peaches: While the chicken is marinating, slice the peaches into thick wedges. Brush the slices lightly with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F / 200°C).

Cook the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade, discarding any used marinade that has touched raw chicken. Place the chicken breasts on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). During the last few minutes of cooking, brush the reserved marinade over the chicken for added flavor.

Grill the Peaches: Once the chicken is close to being done, add the peach wedges to the grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the peaches soften slightly.

Serve: Remove the chicken and peaches from the grill. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve the grilled chicken topped with the warm grilled peaches. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top if desired.

Enjoy your delicious Grilled Peach BBQ Chicken!
