Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium recommended)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and ginger (if using) until well combined.

Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Reserve the other half for later. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for more flavor).

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.

Bake the Salmon: Remove the salmon from the marinade and place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Glaze the Salmon: While the salmon is baking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.

Serve the Dish: Once the salmon is cooked, drizzle the thickened glaze over the fillets. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds for an added crunch and flavor burst.

Enjoy: Serve warm with your favorite side dishes, such as steamed rice or sautéed vegetables!
