Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 large egg

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup milk (or chicken broth for extra flavor)

2 tablespoons olive oil (for pan-frying)

2 cups marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, chopped onion, and egg.

Season the Mix: Add dried oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Pour in the milk and mix everything together until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the meatballs dense.

Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and gently roll into meatballs, placing them on the prepared baking sheet. You should have approximately 15-18 meatballs.

Brown the Meatballs: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs in batches, careful not to overcrowd the pan. Sear them for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown. Transfer the browned meatballs back to the baking sheet.

Bake the Meatballs: Once all meatballs are browned, transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Serve: While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Once the meatballs are done, gently toss them in the warmed marinara sauce or serve it on the side.

Enjoy: Serve your delicious turkey meatballs over spaghetti, on a sub roll for a meatball sandwich, or simply with a sprinkle of extra parsley on top. Enjoy your creation!
