2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 cup milk

2 large eggs

4 tbsp melted butter

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cooked ground turkey

¼ cup diced red bell pepper

¼ cup finely chopped green onions

1 tsp garlic powder

½ tsp black pepper

Cooking spray or additional butter for waffle iron

Instructions
 

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center and add the milk, eggs, and melted butter. Stir until just combined; the batter may be slightly lumpy.

      Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, cooked ground turkey, diced red bell pepper, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until everything is evenly distributed.

        Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray or brush with additional butter. Pour about ¼ cup of the batter onto the center of the waffle iron (adjust the amount according to the size of your iron).

          Close the lid and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and cooked through. Remove them carefully and keep them warm in a low oven if cooking in batches.

            Repeat the process until all the batter is used up, spraying the iron between batches as needed.

              Serve warm with additional cheese melted on top or a dollop of sour cream and your favorite hot sauce. You can also serve these waffles alongside fresh fruit or a simple side salad for a balanced meal.
