Ingredients

12 small slider buns

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup nacho cheese sauce

1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained

1 jalapeño, thinly sliced (optional)

1 avocado, sliced

½ cup diced tomatoes

¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 teaspoon taco seasoning

4 tablespoons butter, softened

Salsa for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Mini Buns: Slice the slider buns in half to create a top and bottom for each slider.

Make the Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses with taco seasoning. Mix well to distribute the seasoning evenly throughout the cheese.

Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each slider bun, spread a generous amount of nacho cheese sauce. Next, sprinkle a spoonful of the cheese mixture over the nacho cheese, followed by a few black beans and a slice of jalapeño (if using). Add a couple of avocado slices and some diced tomatoes. Top with more shredded cheese and then place the top half of the slider bun on each.

Butter the Sliders: Spread the softened butter on the outside of each assembled slider bun for a golden, crispy crust when grilled.

Grill the Sliders: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sliders on the skillet, buttered side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and crispy. Carefully flip the sliders and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes, while pressing down gently with a spatula to ensure the cheese melts and binds the fillings.

Serve: Remove the sliders from the skillet, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve immediately with salsa on the side for dipping.
