Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)

10 Oreo cookies, crushed into small pieces

Extra Oreo chunks for topping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.

Fold in Chocolate Chips and Oreos: Gently fold in the chocolate chips and crushed Oreo cookies, ensuring an even distribution throughout the dough. If desired, reserve some Oreo pieces for the tops of the cookies.

Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop out dough balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Press a few extra chunks of Oreo on top of each dough ball, if using.

Bake: Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers still look soft.

Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy: Serve warm or store in an airtight container for up to a week. Enjoy the delightful blend of Oreo and chocolate chip goodness!
