1 package (15.5 oz) Oreo cookies

5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Additional crushed Oreos for topping (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Crust:

    - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

      - Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form. You can also place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.

        - In a bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with melted butter until well combined.

          - Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.

            - Bake the crust for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

              Make the Filling:

                - In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth.

                  - Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.

                    - In a separate bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

                      Combine:

                        - Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until no streaks remain. Be careful not to deflate the mixture.

                          - If desired, fold in the mini chocolate chips for added texture and sweetness.

                            Assemble the Pie:

                              - Spread the cream filling evenly into the cooled Oreo crust.

                                - Smooth the top with a spatula or the back of a spoon.

                                  Chill:

                                    - Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. This helps the filling to set and enhances the flavors.

                                      Serve:

                                        - Before serving, sprinkle additional crushed Oreos on top for decoration. Slice into wedges and enjoy your indulgent Oreo cream pie!
