Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 teaspoons lemon zest (freshly grated)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Prepare the Baking Dish: Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Coat the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking dish, skin side down. Pour the marinade over the fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let the salmon marinate for about 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Bake the Salmon: Once marinated, place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and has an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
