3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (plus extra for topping)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

    Mix the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

      Add Egg and Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

        Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.

          Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

            Fold in Chips and Candy: Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped Reese's Peanut Butter Cups until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

              Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

                Top with Extra Candy: For an extra treat, press additional chopped Reese's pieces onto the tops of the dough balls before baking.

                  Bake the Cookies: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. The cookies will firm up as they cool.

                    Cool and Enjoy: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
