Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

1/4 cup chopped fresh mint

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 medium onion, finely chopped

1 large egg

1 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Tzatziki sauce, for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, chopped mint, minced garlic, chopped onion, egg, dried oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined but be careful not to overwork the meat, as it can result in tough meatballs.

Add Feta Cheese: Gently fold in the crumbled feta cheese, distributing it evenly through the mixture.

Form the Meatballs: Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet. You should yield about 20-24 meatballs.

Cook the Meatballs: Drizzle or brush the meatballs lightly with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the meatballs are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

Serve: Remove the meatballs from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with tzatziki sauce on the side for a refreshing dip, alongside a simple salad or warm pita bread for a complete meal.
