Ingredients

1 lb (450g) carrots, peeled and cut into fry-shaped sticks

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Carrots: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cut carrot sticks with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Add the Seasonings: In a separate small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.

Combine and Toss: Pour the maple mixture over the carrots and toss thoroughly to ensure that all the fries are well coated with the glaze.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the glazed carrot fries out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, giving them enough space for even cooking.

Roast the Carrots: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 20-25 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through, until they are tender and caramelized. Keep an eye on them toward the end to prevent burning.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove from the oven, transfer to a serving plate, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Smoky Maple Glazed Carrot Fries!
