Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 cup hot sauce (your choice, like Frank’s RedHot or Sriracha)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Celery sticks (for serving, optional)

Blue cheese or ranch dressing (for dipping, optional)

Instructions

Prep the Wings: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps to ensure they become crispy in the air fryer.

Seasoning Mix: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and chili powder. Stir until well mixed.

Coat the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.

Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Air Fry the Wings: Place the seasoned chicken wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to do this in batches. Air fry the wings for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crispness.

Prepare the Sauce: While the wings are cooking, mix together the hot sauce and melted butter in a separate bowl. This will be your spicy sauce.

Toss in Sauce: Once the wings are crispy and cooked through (an internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C), carefully transfer them to the bowl with the hot sauce mixture. Toss until they are well coated.

Final Air Fry (Optional): For extra crispiness, place the sauced wings back in the air fryer for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve: Remove the wings from the air fryer and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot with celery sticks and your choice of dipping sauce.
