Ingredients

1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust according to your spice preference)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Sriracha, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ginger, black pepper, and salt. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they're well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more intense flavor.

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and reserve the marinade for later. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken pieces in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Sear the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Glaze the Chicken: Transfer the browned chicken bites to the prepared baking sheet. Brush them with the reserved marinade. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice glaze.

Finish & Garnish: Once cooked, remove the chicken bites from the oven and let them sit for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions for a fresh touch.

Serve: Enjoy these spicy maple glazed chicken bites warm. They make a perfect appetizer or a delicious main dish served over rice or alongside a fresh salad.
