Ingredients

1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, minced ginger, and rice vinegar. Set aside half of the mixture for later use as a sauce.

Marinate the Shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the remaining marinade in the bowl. Mix well to ensure the shrimp are evenly coated. Allow the shrimp to marinate for at least 15-20 minutes at room temperature.

Heat the Pan: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Cook the Shrimp: Remove the shrimp from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Add the shrimp to the hot skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking.

Add the Sauce: Once the shrimp are cooked, pour in the reserved marinade. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly and simmer for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Season & Serve: Taste the shrimp and season with salt and pepper as needed. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Enjoy: This dish pairs wonderfully with steamed rice or a fresh green salad!
