Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup maple syrup

½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Optional: extra cinnamon sugar for coating

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray or line it with paper liners.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon until combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs. Add the whole milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract, stirring until the mixture is smooth.

Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing; a few lumps are okay.

Fill Muffin Tin: Using a spoon or a small cookie scoop, fill each cup of the mini muffin tin about ¾ full with the batter.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the donut holes are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool: Remove from the oven and let the donut holes cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Make the Maple Glaze: In a bowl, combine the maple syrup and powdered sugar. Whisk until smooth. If the glaze is too thick, add a little bit of milk to reach your desired consistency.

Glaze the Donut Holes: Once the donut holes are completely cool, dip the tops into the maple glaze. Allow any excess glaze to drip off before placing the glazed donut holes back on the wire rack.

Optional Coating: For an extra touch, while the glaze is still wet, you can roll the glazed donut holes in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar for a delightful finish.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve your Sweet Maple Glazed Donut Holes warm or at room temperature. They’re perfect for breakfast or as a sweet treat during the day!
