Ingredients

For the Brownie Cookie Dough:

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Peanut Butter Swirl:

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Melt chocolate and butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly.

Mix the brownie batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the bowl and mix until smooth.

Add dry ingredients: Gently fold in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix as this can make the cookies tough.

Make the peanut butter swirl: In a separate bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Combine the doughs: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop a spoonful of brownie cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Follow with a spoonful of the peanut butter mixture on top of the brownie dough. Using a toothpick or a sharp knife, gently swirl the peanut butter into the brownie dough to create a marbled effect.

Bake the cookies: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm, and the centers are slightly soft but set.

Cool and serve: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy them warm or at room temperature!
