Ingredients

1 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled

1/2 cup coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlua)

8 oz mascarpone cheese

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate wafers (or ladyfingers)

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips, melted (for coating)

Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Cream Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy using an electric mixer on medium speed.

Add Coffee Infusion: In a separate bowl, mix the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur. Slowly pour this mixture into the mascarpone mixture while continuing to beat. Add a pinch of salt for enhanced flavor.

Incorporate the Wafers: Gradually fold in the crushed chocolate wafers (or ladyfingers) until the mixture is well combined and forms a thick, sticky batter.

Chill the Mixture: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the mixture is firm enough to handle.

Form the Truffles: Once chilled, use a small cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Coat the Truffles: Once all the truffles are formed, freeze them for an additional 30 minutes. After freezing, dip each truffle in the melted dark chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off, then roll them in the cocoa powder to coat.

Final Chill: Return the coated truffles to the parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set.

Serve: Enjoy your homemade Tiramisu Truffles as a delightful dessert, garnished with a light dusting of cocoa powder or a sprinkle of grated chocolate, if desired.
