1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) packed brown sugar

1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar

1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour

1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 cups (250g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup (150g) toffee bits

Sea salt for sprinkling

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.

    Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

      Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

        Mix Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Stir in the vanilla extract.

          Add Chocolate and Toffee: Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and toffee bits, ensuring an even distribution throughout the batter.

            Spread in Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it into an even layer with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips evenly over the top.
